Lucozade Brand Ambassadors are giving out thousands of free Lucozade Energy bottles with contactless chips embedded at the base, to be used for free London underground trips.
From May 30 to June 2 2017, lucky commuters travelling through Oxford Circus Station would receive the drinks, with chips that work exactly like those in Transport for London (TfL) Oyster Cards. A bottle can be used to tap and pay at the tube gates for one free journey.
Ashleigh Roberts, senior brand manager at Lucozade Energy said: “In a city that’s always on the go, we’re giving Londoners an extra opportunity to get where they need to be in a fun and unique way.”
The promo is part of the brand’s ‘Find your flow’ campaign.
The tube has made the contactless payment technology popular among travellers. Across the UK, commuters pay for over one million journeys per day using contactless cards.
